Is the passing score composite score?

The SAT passing score is not a composite score. It is a section score. The SAT consists of three sections: Math, Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, and the optional Essay. The passing score for each section is 400. To pass the SAT, you must earn a score of at least 400 on each section.
