The State of Idaho provides free GED preparation courses through the Adult Basic Education division of the Division of Professional-Technical Education.
The State of Idaho maintains seven GED testing centers (see Resources). Students may not take the GED online. Students are eligible to take the test if they are not high school graduates, are not currently in high school, are over the age of 16, and meet some state residency requirements.
Test takers will receive one free copy of the results of the GED test. Additional copies are available for $10 each after completing and submitting a Transcript Release Request Form (see Resources).
