How Can I Get a Copy of My GED Scores?

GED stands for General Equivalency Diploma. The GED is a substitute for a high school diploma that can be obtained by anyone over 18. The GED test consists of five sections, each worth a maximum of 800 points. If you need to obtain a copy of your GED test results, there are two primary ways to obtain them.

      Call your GED testing center and request a copy of your scores. Some testing centers will mail you one for free, or allow you pick one up. Other testing centers will charge as much as $14 per transcript. If you cannot reach your testing center, proceed to step 2.

      Download and print out the GED transcript request form.

      Fill out our personal information including name and social security number.

      Fill out where and when you took the GED test.

      Select a state educational department you wish to have your results sent to.

      Fill out your billing information for the $14 processing fee.

      Sign and date the form then mail it to "GED Testing Service, One Dupont Circle, Suite 250, Washington, DC 20036-1193."
