Confirm that you meet all the requirements to take the GED In Pennsylvania. To take the GED you must be at least 18 years of age. Special circumstances may apply for those between the ages of 16 and 18, such as job prospects, college acceptance, or acceptance to the military.
Take a study course or obtain study materials. To pass the GED in Pennsylvania, you must attain a total score of 2250 which is the collective score of five individual smaller tests. You can take a study course through the Community College of Philadelphia, or get a book from the library on GED testing.
Sign up several months in advance to take the test. Testing locations include: Temple University, Benjamin Franklin High School, LaSalle University Urban Center and the Community College of Philadelphia.
Bring with you the necessary materials to your testing site. Each testing location varies, therefore when you sign up for your test what materials are necessary. Most tests require a $50 fee, as well as two forms of identification.
