Use the glue stick to glue twelve 2-inch triangles around the outer edge of the 12-inch orange construction paper circle. This is the base of the paper sun.

Glue the 10-inch yellow construction paper circle, on top of the 12-inch orange construction paper circle. Center the circle. Children have a tendency to glop the glue stick onto the paper. Encourage them to "draw" the glue onto the paper with the glue stick.
