Virtual Virginia offers Advanced Placement, core academic and elective courses to middle and high school students who meet certain prerequisites. Courses contain video, audio, whiteboard and online discussions.

Murray was founded in 1988 and presently has 110 students. It is a charter high school that uses the Blackboard online learning system to supplement in class learning. Students classified as "gifted" make up 11.5 percent of the students, while 27.9 percent of students have disabilities. All Murray seniors are enrolled in Piedmont Virginia Community College.
The Patrick Henry School of Science and Arts is a kindergarten through 5th grade science- and arts-based school focusing on environmental awareness and social responsibility. It is set to open in July 2010.

Community Public Charter School Program is a program for 6th and 7th grade students who are one or more years behind in reading and/or math and are interested in learning through the arts in a smaller middle school environment.
