How to Make a Racetrack Bulletin Board

Designing a bulletin board is an excellent way to get everyone interested in the classroom learning environment. If you are in an area where car racing is popular or if you are studying a topic involving a racetrack, you may find that a racetrack-themed bulletin board will help motivate your students to succeed. Get creative with your racetrack bulletin board, focusing on the things that are most important to you and your students.

Instructions

Consider your audience. As a teacher, you have probably gotten to know your students extremely well. Think about the age of your students, their strengths and interests before you begin designing your racetrack bulletin board. For example, if your students are competitive, consider a racetrack bulletin board that lets your students race their cars across the board as they reach certain goals in class.

Focus on the subject you are teaching. If you are teaching a science class, consider making a racetrack bulletin board that shows how the environment can impact racetrack conditions. For a physical education class, focus on racing as a sport and how racing impacts the body.

Design the letters and images that will go on your racetrack bulletin board. If you are extremely crafty you may want to create the cars and racetrack yourself to save money and give the project a more personal feel. Use a lot of color in your design to attract the attention of your students.

Determine the phrase you want to highlight on your racetrack bulletin board. "Race Across the Globe" makes a great phrase for a history class, while "Speed Reader" might make a good title for an English class. Cut out the letters you want to use or purchase letters from the store to accompany the images you have chosen.
