The cost of technology can be a deterrent to introducing technological learning tools in the classroom. One such learning tool is the SmartBoard. This tool projects websites on a whiteboard and allows students to do hands-on interactions with websites. For many teachers, buying a SmartBoard is not practical. However, due to innovative thinking, teachers can literally use the wiimote and standard technology equipment already in the classroom to get the same affect as a SmartBoard in the classroom.

Connect your computer to the projector. Project the light on the whiteboard or screen to make the images visible.

Download the Wiimote SmartBoard software on your computer and connect the Wiimote to your computer.

Point the LED pen at the whiteboard or screen to calibrate the four areas on the screen. This is routine for the standard SmartBoard calibration process. Press "Escape" when you are done calibrating.

Make the necessary adjustments to the computer by enabling the mouse move or mouse move and click. Activate the right-click option.
