How to Make Evaporators

Making an evaporator for the purpose of evaporating the liquid off a solution is both simple, as well as instructive in lessons about evaporation and solutes. Evaporators can be easily fashioned in a home setting such as a kitchen, or at school.

Instructions

    • 1

Mix salt in the water until it is completely dissolved.

    • 2

Taste the solution to demonstrate that, even though the salt is no longer visible, it is still in the solution.

    • 3

Mark the level of the salt water with the label.

    • 4

Place the cup in a warm place.

    • 5
