Study current events. Read the newspaper regularly to understand what is happening in the world around you.
Study school safety issues. Find out specifically which ones are of interest in your community.
Take the issues you have learned about and research how you can eliminate them within school campuses. Solicit feedback from people within education to determine how feasible your ideas are.
Get experience. Sign on as a school security guard or work in the local school police department, if you can. If no positions are available, try to volunteer.
Take notes and analyze the information you gather. Your collected knowledge and experience can make you valuable.
