Instructions

    • 1

Use deco art paint to paint one side of a small wooden oval – something you can find in the wood section of any national craft store. Paint the oval with one of your school colors. For example, if your school colors are red and black, paint the oval red and allow it to dry.

    • 2

Cut grosgrain ribbons in your school colors. Cut approximately 20 1 ½-inch ribbons. Cut one-third red, one-third black and one-thrid white. Add a little flair by using red, black and white designed ribbons instead.

    • 3

Place your wooden oval face down on a piece of newspaper and use a hot glue gun to attach the ribbons to the back of the oval. Attach the ribbons using a color scheme such as red, black, white, red, black, white or mix it up to your own personal taste.

    • 4

Allow the glue to dry on the ribbon before flipping the pin over and painting a slogan to the front of your pin. Use your mascot on your pin by writing, “Go Tigers,” or whatever your mascot is.

    • 5

Let the paint dry on the front of your school spirit pin before flipping it over yet again to attach a pin to the back using hot glue. Hold the pin in place for approximately 30 seconds until the glue dries.
