Draw a perfect square on a piece of paper. You can use printer paper, card stock or even cardboard, depending on how sturdy you want your cube to be.
Draw two more identical squares, one to the right of the original square and one to the left of it, so that the new squares share a side with the original square.
Draw two more identical squares, one at the top of the original square and one at the bottom of it, so that the new squares share a side with the original square. You should now have four squares whose sides create a fifth square in the middle.
Draw one last square directly on top of the top square so that the two squares share a side.
Cut out the net following the perimeter lines.
Fold the left and right squares upward so they are perpendicular to the center square.
Fold the top square down so it is perpendicular with the square below it; fold the square below it down so it is perpendicular with the center square and the top square is parallel with the center square.
Fold the bottom square up so it is perpendicular with the center square. You should now see a cube shape.
Tape your cube together using clear scotch tape.
