    • 1

Open an MLA (Modern Language Association) style guide handbook. Understand that MLA is commonly used in high schools and colleges across America to guide the formatting and citations of other authors' work in research papers and essays focused on the humanities.

    • 2

Place the bibliography of King James that you referenced in your report, essay or paper on the table next to your computer keyboard. Make a new entry in your "Works Cited" page at the close of your paper for the bibliography. Make sure it is in alphabetical order by author's last name.

    • 3

Follow the basic MLA format for citing a book on a Works Cited list. Make the first line flush left and let additional information spill over onto a second line that is indented five spaces. Follow this general format: Last name, First name. Title of Bibliography. Place of Publication: Publisher, Year of Publication. Medium of Publication. Italicize the title of the bibliography. An example would be: Smith, Robert. King James Examined. Grand Rapids: Bantam Books, 1969. Print.

    • 4

Follow MLA guidelines for two or more authors if the bibliography on King James has more than one author. Keep all information the same as in a single author reference except list two authors as follows: Last name, First Name, and First Name, Last Name. List the first author listed on the book first, followed by the second author. If the bibliography is written by more than two authors, list the entry as: Last Name, First Name, et al.
