Rocky Mountain Laser College is located in Lakewood, Colorado, and is one of the oldest aesthetic colleges in the world. Laser tattoo removal is just one of the skills that they teach. Instructors of the tattoo removal courses are plastic surgeons, dermatologists, nurses, and laser specialists. The school was the first in the state to meet the requirements necessary to teach tattoo removal. There are financing options available, as well as a payment plan. Tuition includes 100 percent of costs, including airfare and hotel stay, if needed. While there is not a "career placement' program per say, they do receive requests for people with laser experience and do whatever they can to place their own students.
New Look Laser College in Houston, Texas is the only laser training program in the United States that provides exclusive instruction in laser tattoo removal. The program teaches theory of laser physics, how to remove tattoos, and patient communication. They also help with business basics for those looking to start their own laser removal studio. Training courses are three days long. Tuition is $2,995, with full financing available for those who qualify. They also offer on-site training when possible for those unable to travel.
The Academy of Cosmetic Arts and Sciences, or ACAS, is licensed by the Florida Department of Education. They offer classes in permanent makeup as well as tattoo removal. The process that they teach is called EliminInk, which is placed into the skin using a tattoo machine. One day of training is required before the EliminInk system will be sold to students. Most tattoos can be removed with just two to four treatments. ACAS only trains six students at a time.
