Laser Training Schools

Students who are interested in pursuing a career as laser and electro-optic technicians would need to complete various programs that are available for this purpose in laser and optical technologies. There are various laser training schools that offer different courses for this purpose. Students who complete the programs become eligible for jobs in engineering and telecommunications companies, biomedical research centers and medical facilities that provide laser treatments.
  1. Schools

    • One of the schools that offers laser training programs as of 2011 is DeVry University. The programs offered here are both online and on campus and include bachelor's degrees in electronics engineering technology and computer engineering technology.

      The other school that offers similar program is Colorado Technical University and the minimum eligibility requirement is that the individual must have completed high school or completed GED. The various courses offered here include MS in Electrical Engineering, BS in Electrical Engineering and AS in Electronics Technology.

    Eligibility Criteria

    • Students at the Northcentral University would need to have completed a bachelor's degree, and the programs available here include DBA in management of engineering and technology; MBA in management of engineering and technology; and graduate certificate in business management of engineering and technology.

      The minimum eligibility criteria to be fulfilled at the Ashford University include completion of at least 22 years and must have completed high school. The program offered at the university includes BA in Organizational Management - Engineering Studies.

    Online and on Campus Programs

    • ITT Technical Institute offers programs that are both online and on campus, and these include bachelor's degrees in electronics and communications engineering technology and data communication systems technology; and associate's degrees in computer and electronics engineering technology and electronics and communications engineering technology.

      Everest College offers non-degree diplomas in electronics computer technology, and the eligibility criteria is that the individual should be a high school graduate or have completed the GED.

    Other Laser Training Schools

    • Penn Foster Career School also offers a non-degree "Career Diploma" electronics technician.

      Westwood College offers both on-campus and online programs to students.
