CTI offers training in office administration, health care services and information technology (IT). Programs range from six to 12 months and feature hands-on training with an emphasis on the skills needed to get a job. CTI's office administration program will teach you skills such as creating spreadsheets, managing databases and the use of desktop publishing software. With this type of training you could be an administrative assistant, bookkeeper or accounts payable clerk. The medical office program offers training in disciplines like patient information technology and medical billing. Career opportunities with such training include medical office assistant, medical claims analyst and health information management. And CTI's IT program will teach you how to install, maintain and repair computer hardware and network equipment, skills you can use to become a computer technician. You can earn a bachelor's in science in just 18 months at this school that is especially designed for working adults. Classes can be taken on Saturdays, two evenings a week or online. You can get your bachelor's in accounting, government contract management, information systems, management and international business. Or get your associate's in accounting, security management, information systems, business management and international business. USTTI is a non-profit partnership between the federal government and privately-owned information and communications technology (ICT) corporations. USTTI offers tuition-free, technical training for people working in the ICT field made possible by the support of federal and private board members, plus volunteer instructors. Courses are held in corporate and federal training facilities, laboratories and television stations in D.C. and various U.S. cities. If you qualify, you can choose from courses in the following areas: emergency communications, Internet technology, management, mobile broadband and Internet governance, radio and television broadcast technology, radio broadcasting and programming, regulatory and privatization, satellite communications, spectrum management, spectrum monitoring, telehealth (health services via telecommunications technology), television broadcasting, and wireless communications.
