Gotta Dance is a school for both professional and amateur dancers. The school is staffed with professional dancers and choreographers from a variety of backgrounds. Classes are given in classical ballet, jazz, hip hop, ball room dancing, break dancing, tap and Latin dance. There are flexible dance programs designed to fit anyone's schedule including drop in classes, summer courses and full two year courses.
Studio Dionne has classes for adult and children in ballet, jazz, hip hop, capoeira, salsa, tap, yoga pilates and body conditioning. In addition to dance classes it also offers voice, piano, guitar and violin lessons for complete beginners as well as for advanced music students. Classes are offered once or twice per week and there are also special workshops and summer programs offered. The classes are taught by professional dancers many of who toured or founded their own dance troops.
The North Atlanta High Center has been around for 35 years and offers classes in dance, music, theater and the visual arts. Students can study jazz, marching orchestra and chamber music, chorus and voice, guitar, piano, theatrical plays and musicals and many different styles of dance. This is a school for professional training for those wishing to prepare for a career in the arts. The programs are four years long during which time students will participate in competitions and professional performances, which are recorded so that they can be reviewed later. In addition classroom learning is supplemented by visits to stages, galleries and other venues in Atlanta and throughout Europe.
Atlanta Workshop Players is a school for kids and teens who want to have professional training in drama or musical theater. The school also holds workshops with industry professionals for adults. Classes include on-camera acting, theater production, imrpov and video production. Classes are held once a week. During the winters and summers special camps are held for teens and kids 6 to 18 years old, in which advanced students get the opportunity to perform for industry professionals.
