The International Film School in Sydney, Australia offers a two-year intensive training course that focuses on hands-on experience and total immersion in the world of film and cinema. The course includes the writing and directing of eight of your own films and playing various roles within the production of at least a dozen films with other students. You will be in control of production budgets for your films, all copyright to your films will belong to you and you will receive one-on-one mentoring throughout the course. You will also receive training in post-production and have extensive access to film equipment throughout your time on the course. Students are expected to find their own accommodations in Australia, and intakes are February and July each year.
The London Film Academy offer a variety of courses from one day to one year in length. The diploma and certificate courses are full time and last between six months and a year. Courses, such as the film-making diploma will give you a wide range of practical training across the key film-making disciplines such as screenwriting and directing, cinematography, sound and editing, production, including production management and first assistant directing. The courses are intense; in a full-time course, you will complete 30 hours of training a week, but this should lead you to access into the film industry.
