The Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Florida, is traditionally the primary station for naval aviation and naval flight training. The central flying organization of NAS Pensacola is the Training Wing Six, which consists of three U.S. Navy training squadrons: VT-4, VT-10 and VT-86. The Training Wing Six is composed of highly trained professional Air Force and Navy personnel who train students to become USN pilots, naval flight officers and navigators. Students learn in the Naval Air Technical Training Center, which is also referred to as the "Mega Building" due to its massive size. The building contains offices, hangars, classrooms and laboratories designed for students training to become aviation specialists for the Navy, Air Force, Army, Marine Corps and Coast Guard.
Located in Nevada, the Naval Air Station Fallon is the only Naval Facility allowed to host advanced integrated Carrier Air Wing strike training. The primary mission of NAS Fallon throughout its long history has always been to supply flight training and combat training to air groups. The training programs combine realistic flight training in air-to-ground missions, electronic warfare, special weapons delivery, air-to-air weapons delivery and enemy evasion tactics. Military aircraft are provided by the Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and the Nevada Air National Guard. Additionally, NAS Fallon pilots can utilize seven different training areas that are all distributed from eight to thirty miles away from the base.

The United States Naval Academy, located in Annapolis, Maryland, is a school that equips students with the required knowledge and necessary skills to thrive as aviation specialists for the Navy. The school's Naval Academy Training Squadron is the largest single commissioning source of Naval Aviator specialists in the U.S. The school incorporates informative lessons and valuable hands-on training exercises into the program, and the courses provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the essential principles and skills regarding Navy Aviation and the Naval Aviation community. The program exposes Midshipmen to the fundamental aspects of aviation, strives to provide students with a clear understanding and devoted passion for Naval aviation, and prepares aviators to also succeed at the training station in Pensacola.
The Naval Air Facility Atsugi is home to the Carrier Wing Five and is the largest Naval Air Facility in the Pacific. Located in Kanto Plain in Japan, the training facility teaches students to become competent CVW-5 pilots, effective maintenance workers and productive members of support crews. Students benefit from the advanced resources and technological equipment available at the Atsugi base and at other nearby bases in Japan that the U.S. military has access to. Furthermore, Ausugi is located just 20 minutes away from Tokyo, so visitors training to become Naval aviation specialists can enjoy the metropolitan experience of downtown Tokyo while staying in Japan. Furthermore, the small base contains a post office, commissary, exchange, video store, bowling alley, movie theater, home improvement store, softball field, gas station, track, football field, a swimming pool, numerous restaurants and three gyms.
