Instructions

    • 1

Choose a suitable location for your booth then select and cut four pieces of wooden frames measuring 6 feet each; four pieces measuring 5 feet each and four pieces measuring 3 feet each. Make a cuboid frame measuring 6-by-5-by-3 feet using a hammer and nails. Plane the frame to remove any rough surface.

    • 2

Measure and cut six pieces of plywood as follows: two pieces 5-by-3 feet for sides; two pieces 6-by-5 inches for the front and back; two pieces 5-by-3 inches for the top and bottom. Nail the plywood to the wooden cuboid, leaving the front and one side portion to enable you to work on the window and the door. Put a bookshelf in the side of the booth and hold firmly with nails.

    • 3

Mark two points at the back of the remaining portion plywood,4 inches from each edge; mark another in the middle. Fix hinges to these points using a hammer and nails. Mark another point in the middle of the front part to fit in a door lock. Fit the door to the door frame and plane off excess lengths so the door can close easily.

    • 4

Get the top center of the front portion plywood and measure 1 foot on each side. Cut a space 2-by-2 feet from the top to fit in the window. Fit in an aluminum window frame, screw into position, and insert a soundproof window, measuring 2-by-2 feet. Place the completed plywood on the front side of the booth and hold into position using nails.

    • 5

Fix overhead light bulbs in the middle of the top portion and glue soft sound-studio foam on all the inside surfaces except on the bookshelf and the window. Paint and decorate the rest of the booth according to your preference. Put the visual and audio recording equipment such as webcam, microphones and a small computer on the bookshelf.
