How to Earn Your GED With Online Classes

Online classes can prepare you to take the General Educational Development test. The GED exam is only given at certain testing centers around the country. It cannot be taken online. However, online schools and preparation sites can help you prepare for the test. Classes are available in subjects such as science, social studies, reading, writing and math. Preparation sites also offer practice exams to familiarize you with the test format and the types of questions you will see on the exam.

Register at GEDforFree.com. This site offers a GED preparation course and test practice materials for free. Work through the available materials at your own pace.

Enroll in classes offered by a GED preparation company. Check the school or company's accreditation. If you choose a GED preparation program from an online high school, check the school's accreditation status with your state's department of education. It is important that the classes you pay for and take will actually prepare you for the GED, and that they will not issue you a fake GED. Tuition varies from program to program.
