Obtain a college transcript from all of the colleges you have attended.

Decide where you want to finish your degree.

This will be largely driven by where you have the most amount of college credit. Most traditional colleges and universities have limits on the amount of course work that can be completed with online courses. A limit ranging from 25-50% or more is not uncommon. So, it makes sense to finish your program at the school at which you have the most college credit.

A college that offers the majority of its programs online will undoubtedly have different criteria.

      Meet with an academic advisor.

Bring your college transcripts to your appointment with the academic advisor. The academic advisor will assist in creating a new degree plan for you which can include online classes. She will be able to let you know which of your remaining courses are offered online and which must be done in residence.

      Enroll for the next term.

Since you are just starting back, take it slow. If you've been away from college for a while, only enroll part-time the first term. This should help you balance work and home life with your return to college.
