The state of New Hampshire offers a number of different flight schools that can help you receive your pilot license. Most of the flight schools in New Hampshire offer a variety of training programs, from private pilot training to commercial pilot training and even flight instructor courses.

    • The Saflite Pilot Training School is at the Manchester Airport. The school offers several flight-training programs. The private pilot certificate program gives students instruction on how to properly fly a private airplane and typically takes two to three months to complete and requires a minimum of 40 hours of flight time. Students can also obtain a commercial pilot certificate at Saflite Pilot Training, which allows pilots to accept payment for transporting cargo or passengers, according to the flight school's website. This program also helps fine-tune piloting skills and typically takes two months to complete with two to three sessions per week. If you are already a licensed pilot, the school also offers flight instructor courses.

    Flight International Academy

    • The Flight International Academy offers several training programs. The private pilot training program is a 60-hour program requiring two to three months to complete and is appropriate for people who want to learn how to fly a private plane. The school also offers a commercial single-engine training program, a 10- to 20-hour program that takes about one month to complete. Other programs offered at the school include: instrument rating training, commercial multi-engine training and ATP multi-engine training.

    Monadnock Aviation

    • The Monadnock Aviation flight school teaches students how to fly on two different planes, either a low-wing Piper Warrior plane or the high-wing Cessna 172. According to the school, both planes have newly-renovated engines and propellers. Monadnock Aviation offers an introductory flight lesson that can help you decide if flying is something you want to pursue. The regular pilot training course at Monadnock involves several hours of flying time and time on flight stimulators. The pilot certificate course requires about six months to complete. The school also offers an accelerated program, in which a pilot certificate can be obtained in as little as one month.
