Baldwin Park Community and Adult Education (BPCAE) is a WASC-accredited institution that has recently been honored by the California Department of Education for excellence in four different program areas: adult basic education, English as a second language, programs for older adults and career technical education. Courses offered range from licensed vocational nurse training to high school diploma (GED) certification. Anyone age 18 or older may enroll in BPCAE courses and there are no residency requirements for students. While courses are not eligible for two- and four-year college credit, arrangements have been made with some community colleges to allow students to receive prerequisite waivers for certain college courses.
