The Western Pennsyvlania School for Blind Children (WPSBC) is located in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh and also residential facilities throughout the area. The school provides training to visually impaired students, most of whom also have additional disabilities. Students can enroll at the school at age 3 and remain enrolled until age 21.

Located in the Swissvale section of Pittsburgh, the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf provides early intervention services, standard academic education and extracurricular activities to deaf and hard-of-hearing children from birth through grade 12.
