    • Attend cooking classes on Monday nights from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Chambers Walk in Lawrenceville. Limited to 10 people at any proficiency level, the classes cost $40 per person, as of 2010 rates. Participants watch a cooking demonstration of an appetizer or salad, an entree and a dessert, receive a copy of the recipes and taste a portion of each item. You can even bring a bottle of wine to the class.

    • The cooking classes at Ninety Acres in Peapack-Gladstone are taught in conjunction with the Viking Range Corporation. Expect to watch demonstrations or do your own hands-on preparations using world-class Viking appliances. Sign up for all-day classes or 3-hour day or evening classes, covering a myriad of topics from Girls Day Out cooking programs to Chicago Steakhouse meals.
