Established in Princeton, New Jersey, in 1746, Princeton University is the fourth-oldest college in the United States. The school focuses on humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, engineering and research. Outside of academics, Princeton's marching band--founded in 1919--features a drumline. The Princeton University Band positions itself as a "scramble band," meaning it is less formal, more free form and more humor-focused than traditional marching bands. The PUB and its drumline perform for the orange-striped Princeton Tigers at all home and away football games, as well as basketball, hockey and lacrosse games. Synced with humorous announcers, drummers for the PUB play such songs as "The Princeton Cannon Song," "Princeton Sons," "Tiger Rag" and "Old Nassau."
