UC Berkeley offers two student family housing residence halls. The residence halls, University Village and Smyth Fernwald, are open to families of all types. The units range from single bedroom and bath apartments to three-bedroom, two-bathroom townhomes. Because UC Berkeley maintains a waiting list for these residence halls, it encourages students to apply for student family housing as soon as possible, should they be accepted to the university.
