    • 1

Look on the right side of the calculator to find the addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication signs. These keys allow you to perform these functions. The "Enter" key works as the equal sign and gives you the answer. Press any number on the calculator, hit the proper function key (such as addition), enter the rest of the numbers in the problem you're solving, and hit "Enter" for the answer.

    • 2

Edit a mistake in the equation by pressing one of the arrow keys, located in the top right hand corner, and move the flashing square on screen until it covers the number you want to change. Then press the correct number and it will replace the original.

    • 3

Press the "Del" key to delete a number or character. "Del" stands for delete and you can highlight any character on screen and press this key to delete it completely without replacing it with a new character/number. Pressing "2nd" and then the "Del" key allows you to insert a character/number without erasing the character/number you have selected.

    • 4

Press the "Y=" key, in the very top left hand corner of the calculator, to access the Y= menu. Here you can type in a value or equation for Y= to graph it. Hit the "Graph" key, on the far right hand side, to see the graph of your equation. All five blue buttons at the top of the calculator deal with graphing.

    • 5

Push the "Windows" key to adjust how much of the graph you can see at one time. Change the values for the X and Y axis to enlarge or shrink the graph. Hit "Graph" when you are finished and want to see your changes.

    • 6

Press the "Zoom" button while viewing the graph to bring up a menu allowing you to pick a specific location on the graph you'd like to zoom in on. The "Trace" key allows you to find out the coordinates of any point on the graph, and to trace points such as the X and Y intercepts.
