Compile a reference list at the end of your article or essay including the online magazine you are referencing. The reference list will contain all your citations in alphabetical order by the author's last name, much like a standard bibliography. The reference list should be separate from the rest of the essay and begin on a new page.
List the author's name in "last name, first name" format. If there is more than one author, add the additional name after an ampersand. It should look like "Lastname, A., & Lastname, B. " Add a period after the author or authors' names.
Insert the original date of publication in parentheses. Place a period outside of the parentheses.
List the title of the article, in plain text, followed by a period. List the title of the online magazine, in italics, and list the volume and issue numbers if available. Set the volume number apart with a comma, and place the issue number in parentheses. Follow with a period outside of the parentheses. For example, Lastname, A. (Date of publication). Title of article. Title of magazine in italics, vol. 1 (14).
Copy the web address and add it to the end of your citation, preceded by the words "Retrieved from."
Example: Lastname, A. (Date of publication). Title of article. Title of magazine in italics, vol. 1 (14). Retrieved from http://www.samplereference.com/sample.html
