To be admitted to the Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine, an applicant must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally-accredited school. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, as well as a combined MCAT score of 23. Applicants must have science degrees with eight semester units of Biology with a Zoology lab, general Chemistry with a lab, Organic Chemistry with a lab, and Physics.
For admission to Touro University's Pharmacy School, applicants must have a bachelor's of science degree with eight semester units of Inorganic Chemistry with a lab, eight units of Organic Chemistry with a lab, four units of Human Anatomy/Physiology with a lab, four units of Microbiology with a lab, and three semester units of Calculus. All of these courses must be completed with a grade of "C" or higher. The minimum GPA for applicants is 2.75.
Touro University offers a joint master's degree in Physican Assistant studies and Public Health. The program is extremely competitive, annually receiving 1200 applications for 45 spots. A baccalaureate from a regionally-accredited university is required, and a cumulative GPA of 2.9 is recommended. Admission also depends on a "C" or better grade on several prerequisite courses and labs, including eight semester units of Biology/Zoology, eight semester units of General Chemistry, four semester units of Human Anatomy, four semester units of Human Anatomy, four semester units of Human Physiology, four semester units of Microbiology, three semester units of Behavioral Science, and three semester units of Statistics.
The Medical Health Sciences program at Touro University requires eight semester units of Biology/Zoology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Physics. In addition to the prerequisite courses, all applicants must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally-accredited school and be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
