The Semester at Sea program will expose you to a large number of global cultures, famous cities and various ways of life in a relatively short amount of time. The itinerary changes every semester, and most travels will cover major cities in three continents.
Because you will take classes taught by qualified university professors while traveling, you can make regular progress towards your degree and graduate on time. You can also learn about the history of the areas you will be visiting, adding relevance to your lessons as well as your travels.
The exposure to many places can give you an idea of where you would like to conduct further travel and research. You can then pursue a long-term study abroad program through your university in the country of your choice.
