  1. Oklahoma State University-Tulsa

    • A former University Center for Oklahoma State University, OSU-Tulsa became the newest member of the OSU system in 1999. While it provides the same 80 degree programs that OSU offers in Stilwell, OSU-Tulsa is still known for providing its own unique flavor and commitment to the Tulsa community. The student body population has more than doubled since 1999. OSU-Tulsa is home to the Helmerich Research Center, which was constructed using funds from Tulsa County's Vision 2025 program; the state's 2005 higher education bond issue; and Peggy Helmerich of Tulsa. The $43 million center houses laboratories for faculty and graduate students who conduct research in four areas: advanced materials, bio-based technologies, energy technologies, and information and control technologies.

    The University of Tulsa

    • The University of Tulsa is a private university that grants undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degrees in the arts, humanities, sciences, business, education, engineering, law, nursing and applied health sciences. TU's 200-acre campus is located near downtown Tulsa, offering students both educational and recreational opportunities in a metropolitan area. TU was founded in 1894 by the Presbyterian Church but today is non-denominational. TU's student body is filled with top academic scholars with 74 percent of the 2010 freshman class coming from the top 10 percent of their high school graduating class.

    University of Phoenix-Tulsa

    • The Tulsa campus of the University of Phoenix offers both in-classroom and online experiences for degrees at multiple levels including associate's, bachelor's, master's and doctorate. The available divisions for degrees are: arts and sciences; business and management; criminal justice and security; education; human services; nursing and health care; psychology and technology. The University of Phoenix model is to require students to take one class at a time, for five to six weeks for each class. The college usually markets to working adults because of the benefits of the class schedule.

    Phillips Theological Seminary

    • Phillips Theological Seminary is affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and is a graduate program for both men and women. As of early 2011, there are approximately 200 students at the school, which offers three master's degrees (Divinity, Theological Studies, Arts in Ministry and Culture); and a Doctorate of Ministry that focuses on pastoral leadership and has three available specializations: Church and Society; Spiritual Formation; and Homiletics.

    Oral Roberts University

    • Oral Roberts University is a charismatic Christian university that offers 65 undergraduate majors, 14 master's programs and two doctoral degrees. The college appointed its third president in 2009 when it hired Mark Rutland, who was the first non-Roberts family member to be president. According to the university's mission, "The mission of Oral Roberts University --- in its commitment to the Christian faith --- is to educate the whole person in spirit, mind, and body, thereby preparing its graduates to be professionally competent servant-leaders who are spiritually alive, intellectually alert, physically disciplined, and socially adept."

    Langston University-Tulsa

    • Langston University is based in Langston, Oklahoma, but it has satellite locations in both Oklahoma City and Tulsa. The Tulsa location is near downtown and offers 13 undergraduate degrees, one adult education completion program and three master's programs.     University of Oklahoma-Tulsa

    Tulsa Community College

    • Tulsa Community College has four campuses throughout the Tulsa area. It ranks 34th in the number of graduates in the nation and as of 2011, serves approximately 35,000 students each year.
