To break into the field of truck-driver training, a driver must earn a mandatory CDL (Commercial Driver's License). This requires prospective drivers to attend courses at a licensed truck-driver training school. A CDL license can be earned in as little as a few weeks at truck driver training schools located all over the United States.
  1. Roadmaster Drivers School

    • Roadmaster Drivers School is a licensed truck-driver trainer school offering prospective students the opportunity to earn Truck Driver CDL Training is 3 to 4 weeks. The school has flexible schedules, including a weekends only course. Students will learn how to become efficient in truck driver careers, with assistance in job placement for graduates. Roadmaster offers locations in Arizona, California, Florida, Indiana, Texas, Ohio, North Carolina, Missouri, Utah and Oklahoma.

    MTC Truck Driver Training

    • MTC Truck Driver training is a licensed CDL school located in Hazelwood, Mo. MTC offers students the chance to earn their CDL in 14 to 16 days. MTC also offers tuition reimbursement, housing options while students attend the courses, and lifetime job placement for graduates. Refresher courses are available for drivers who have a CDL but have been out of the truck-driving field for a while.

      Students applying for admission to MTC must pass a DOT physical, have had no felonies, no DUI or DWI in five years and no more than three moving violations in the span of three years.
