S 2 offers state certified class D and G security guard certification classes year round in the form of two 12-hour days of classroom instruction. The Basic Security Officer Part 1 course covers all of the information required by state law which includes, Florida State Statutes Section 493, legal issues and liabilities, basic first aid, fire suppression emergency procedures, crime and accident prevention.
The Class G or armed security guard course offered at S 2 is a three-day course covering all topics that are required by the state including, Florida Statues 493, 775 and 790; firearms safety and mechanics; civil liability and use of force issues; handgun marksmanship; care and maintenance of firearms; and other required topics.
In addition to the class D and G training, S 2 offers a wide range of other security and safety programs including courses in anti-terrorism, intelligence, law enforcement and much more. S 2 also offers the 16 hour continuation course which is required by state law in order to renew your license.

North Florida Training and Security Associates are located in Jacksonville Florida. NFTSA offers 16 hour renewal training, 24 hour unarmed security officer training and 28 hour armed security officer training. NAFTA also provides this training for Georgia licensse as well.
In addition, NAFTA offers a variety of firearm training courses, first aid and CPR training, and port security training courses. All of the security officer training courses are hands on, face to face training that includes training in a classroom setting and at a firearms range. Davis Security Institute is located in Cape Canaveral, Florida about an hour east of Orlando on the Atlantic coast of Florida. Davis offers a wide variety of security training courses including 16-, 24- and 28-hour security training courses and concealed weapons courses.
The 16 hour renewal course includes classes such as courtroom procedures, terrorism awareness, fundamentals of personal security and crowd control. The 24-hour certification course is a bit more comprehensive and includes classes such as interviewing techniques, emergency procedures, observation and patrol techniques and reporting writing.
The 28-hour armed security officer course is the most comprehensive course Davis offers and includes the concepts from the 24 hour course and adds training in areas such as Florida laws, operation of revolvers and semiautomatic guns, safety of weapons on the job, off duty, and at home, tactical shooting, and after-action safety considerations.
The concealed weapons course is a four hour course on the aforementioned areas of training minus the 24 hour training. Completion of the 24 hour course will fulfill state requirements for class D security license training and completion of the 28 hour program will allow you to have a Class G armed security license.
