Paralegal Programs Approved by the ABA

A paralegal acts as an assistant to an attorney. The requirements needed to enter this field depend on the employer, and many employers prefer applicants who have received some type of training in law. Many community colleges offer two-year programs in paralegal education. The American Bar Association (ABA) approves some of these programs based on how well their curriculum prepares graduates to enter the working world. Some employers prefer candidates who have completed ABA approved paralegal programs.
