Gather information you want to present on the brochure, including pictures and text. Search for “Planet” or the name of the planet that interests you using Google. Select “Pictures” on the top- left corner of the page. Click the “Search” button to start searching.
Right-click one of the relevant images and select “Save as” to save the image to your computer. Similarly obtain as many pictures as you need.
Select “Web pages” and search for the basic planet information. The Information on the brochure's cover page should include the title, a picture and your name. The back of the cover page can show a map of the solar system which illustrates the relations among the planets and the Sun.
Include information such as the definition of the planet and the introduction of the planets on the inner pages. Each planet text can be accompanied by a small picture.
Find and include information on how to recognize the planets without sophisticated equipment. Place this information on the guide page with illustrations.
Click “Start,” “All Programs,” “Microsoft Office” and “Microsoft Word.” There are brochure templates in Microsoft Word. You can create your brochure by selecting an appropriate template and filling in the content.
Click the “Office" button and “New” to open the new document creation window. Click “Brochures and Booklets” in the “Templates” section.
Click “Brochures” on the following screen. Select one of the templates which suits the aims of your planet brochure. The technology brochure template is the most appropriate for this purpose. The template will be downloaded to your document.
Modify the template by filling in your content and changing contact information such as names and addresses. There are two pages on the template. The first page will be cover of the brochure when it is printed out.
Click the “Office" button and “Print” to print the brochure. Place your cursor on the first page. Check “Current Page” on the print preferences window to print this page only.
Place the same paper back in the printer to print the second page out. Make sure that the blank side of the paper faces up and the second page is selected. Click “Print” and select “Current Page” to print it. This will get the double-sided effect for the brochure.
