Monroe's Delta Community College is located across the river from the University of Louisiana at Monroe campus and near the Monroe Regional Airport and Interstate 20. Delta is an open-admissions institution and will accept transfer students and non-degree seeking students. Programs offered at Monroe include Associate of Arts Degrees in Liberal Arts and General Studies; Associate of Science in General Science, Nursing and Teaching and Associate of Applied Science in Business and Technology and Care and Development. Prior to attending classes, students must show documentation of immunizations and take an academic placement examination.

Career Technical College (CTC) is conveniently located on Louisville Avenue near the Twin City Shopping Center. The Monroe campus is one of two in the state; the other, which has slightly different offerings, is in nearby Shreveport. CTC-Monroe is nationally accredited by the Council on Occupational Education and offers three types of programs: degree, diploma and testing. Degree programs include Criminal Justice, Information Processing, Legal Office Technology, Management, Massage Therapy, Medical Assisting, Medical Office Technology, Radiography Technology, Respiratory Therapy and Surgical Technology. The two diploma programs are Massage Therapy and Medical Office Assistant. CTC is certified to administer Microsoft Office User Specialist certification testing by appointment.
