The School of Health Sciences at Columbus Technical College offers a DMS program. This DMS program prepares students to work in abdominal, OB/GYN, infant and pediatric sonography. The Lambda Nu Radiologic and Imaging Sciences Honor Society is also located at the school, which seeks to promote scholarship and research in the field of radiology and sonography, and all DMS students are able to participate. The Honor Society allows students to supplement their technical education with intellectual inquiry.

The department is associated with several regional hospitals offering a broad range of placement opportunities for on-the-job clinical training. The department is also affiliated with the major job resource center in Albany, the Southwest Georgia Area Health Education Center. This non-profit center works to place and support health care workers throughout southwest Georgia.
