Northeast Georgia Technical Schools

The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is tasked by the state legislature with overseeing the technical, adult education, and continuing education programs in the state of Georgia. There were more than 27 colleges in the TCSG system as of February 2010, many with multiple campuses. A number of those colleges are located in the northeastern region of the state.
  1. North Georgia Technical College

    • North Georgia Technical College traces its heritage back to 1907 when the facility was part of the original campus of the Georgia Ninth District School of Agriculture and Mechanical Arts. The North Georgia Trade and Vocational School was created at that location in 1943 and the institute has undergone numerous changes in name and mission since that time. In 2000 the school was officially named North Georgia Technical College by an act of the Georgia legislature in order to reflect its mission of providing quality technical, adult, and continuing education opportunities to local residents in a public, multi-campus, two-year technical college setting.
