Georgia Hope Grant Technical Schools

Georgia's HOPE Program provides financial support for students to attend colleges and universities in Georgia. Students can use the HOPE program grants and scholarships to attend any of the schools in the University System of Georgia and the Technical College System of Georgia. The HOPE program's funding can be used to pay for tuition, fees, books and miscellaneous costs.
  1. HOPE Program - Overview

    • Georgia's HOPE Program is a publicly supported educational grant program for students who wish to attend a college or university in the state of Georgia. Students can earn scholarships to pursue degree programs at public and private schools or apply their grants to certificate programs at public or technical colleges. Students can apply for the program by filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or by filling out the Georgia Scholarship/Grant Application (GSFAPPS). The HOPE scholarship helps pay for tuition, mandatory fees, books and additional funds up to $300 per year. Students can choose from many colleges and schools, i.e., each school in the University System of Georgia and Technical College System of Georgia is eligible for the HOPE program.

    South Georgia Technical College

    • As part of the Georgia Technical College System, students who wish to attend South Georgia Technical College may use HOPE program grants and scholarships to pay for appropriate costs. The college offers many two-year degree programs and certificate programs which qualify for HOPE program funding, including majors like nursing and criminal justice. The college has an additional branch campus in Cordele.

    Southwest Georgia Technical College

    • Another school which qualifies for the HOPE Program is Southwest Georgia Technical College. Students can choose to earn two-year associate degrees or shorter-term certificates in one year or less. The college offers majors in several fields, including Agricultural Technology, Drafting Technology and Technical Studies. Students may take online courses through the college's Georgia Virtual Technical College.

    Southeastern Technical College

    • Southeastern Technical College also qualifies for the HOPE Program. The college has associate degree programs in Business Technologies, Health Sciences, Industrial Technologies, Human Services and Adult Education. Southeastern Technical College's extensive online offerings allow prospective students to earn associate degrees, diplomas and certificates completely online. The college's main campus is in Vidalia, with satellite campuses in Glennville and Swainsboro.
