Dental Assisting Courses Near Everett, Washington

Dental assistants provide much-needed support in dentists' offices, doing office, laboratory and patient care work. According to the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of dental assistants is likely to increase by 36 percent by 2018.



Dental assistants in Washington must be registered with the state. To help qualify students for registration, several training courses are available in and around Everett, about 30 minutes north of Seattle.

    • Located at Albright Family Dental in Everett, this program is a 22-week Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary course, designed for registered dental assistants who wish to qualify for expanded dentistry functions in Washington.     Northshore Dental Assisting Academy

    • About 30 minutes southwest of Everett in Kenmore, this private vocational school offers a 22-week accelerated course in dental assisting. Classes are held all day once a week, on Fridays or Saturdays. Topics include dental radiography, dental terminology and anatomy and four-handed dental assisting. The program combines classroom study with hands-on training, and culminates with a certificate of achievement.
