Dallas Electrician Schools

Electricians install and maintain electrical systems for homes, businesses and any other structures that require power. Electricians must follow state and local building codes when completing their work, which requires getting an education in this area.

Most electricians are trained through apprenticeship programs that generally last for four years and require a high school diploma or GED to apply. According the the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the job outlook for electricians is good, with median wages of $22.32 per hour (as of 2008).
