HVACReducation.net offers a distance-learning HVAC program that is recognized by the North American Technician Excellence (NATE). The classes are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for registered students. The course takes up to 60 days to complete, but may be finished sooner. Penn Foster Career School offers an online program to become an HVAC technician. You can study at home at your own pace. The school provides the lessons, textbooks, lessons and instructional support. Penn Foster Career School is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC).
Ashworth College is a correspondence and online career training school. It offers a program in heating and air conditioning. The college provides students with all of the instructional materials and textbooks. Ashworth College is also accredited by the Distance Education and Training Council.
Obtaining practical work experience in addition to the online training is helpful. After completion of an education program you can take a certification exam through AHRI (Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Institute) or the NATE (North American Technician Excellence) to demonstrate competency in HVAC.
