Colleges With Good Performing Arts Programs

If you're a high school student who loves to act, dance, sing or play music, you might wish to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in the performing arts. Schools offering BFA programs sometimes become conservatories. Students attending a conservatory program have regular critiques of their work by professionals in their chosen fields.
  1. The Juilliard School

    • Juilliard has long been one of the most famous performing arts colleges in the United States. With its New York City location, Juilliard affords students the opportunity to audition for professional productions while completing their college education. This prestigious college accepts only 8 percent of those who audition, so high school students who seek to attend would do well to have previous professional experience. Applications for the following academic year are due each December 1.
