To qualify for the Florida Resident Access Grant program, the student must have lived within the state for at least six months.
Students who are in default on any type of grant, loan or scholarship to either a state or federal agency are disqualified.
To utilize funds from the program, students must be working toward a baccalaureate degree for the first time and take a minimum of 12 college credit hours per semester.
In addition to being a Florida resident, prospective students must also meet the general guidelines to qualify for state financial aid programs.
FRAG application forms are available at all Florida institutions of higher learning. Students may pick up a form at the school financial aid office, or download the information via the Florida Student Financial Aid website. Applicants can request consideration any time of year.
Students who do not maintain the required grade point average are disqualified from receiving future funding. Students seeking a religious degree do not qualify for the FRAG program.
