The Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology (SICB) sponsors the Grants-In-Aid of Research program for graduate students who are completing research in areas related to integrative and comparative biology. The program provides grants of up to $1,000. All applicants must be current members of SICB. Grant proposals may be submitted online only and grant funding may not be used for educational or travel expenses.

The organization provides up to $2,000 to qualifying applicants who are members of SSB. Grants may be used to fund research projects in laboratory or field settings.

The Sigma Xi Grants-In-Aid of Research program provides grant funding to graduate students who are pursuing scientific research in any area, including the biological sciences. Selected students will receive up to $1,000 to be used towards the purchase of necessary research equipment or travel expenses to the research site. While membership in Sigma Xi is not a requirement to receive a grant, 75 percent of available funds are allocated specifically for Sigma Xi student members.
