A Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) should be filled out each year by all prospective students interested in educational funding, regardless of their financial status or funding expectations. The federal government offers many financial aid packages for students. The packages include low interest loans as well as grant funding. The purpose of this funding is to assist you with the cost of tuition, books and living expenses while you are a student. In order to take advantage of the financial aid packages offered by the federal government, all students must have their GED or high school diploma, be working toward a degree or certification program, be registered with the Selective Services, if required, and be a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen.
