This award seeks to recognize directors who have contributed regionally and are yet unknown nationally. The $7,500 award allows directors to finance travel and related expenses to developing their art as a director. The Theatre Communications Group website states that this scholarship enables "six exceptionally talented, early-career theatre directors the opportunity to spend six months over a two-year period expanding their artistic boundaries and increasing their knowledge of the field. Each experience is hand-tailored, matching recipients' goals to appropriate and challenging assignments." The grant is for a total of $25,000 to be paid over a series of installments as a stipend. The grant also includes up to $2,000 for health insurance, child/elderly care or other "life needs" and $1,500 in supplementary travel. Participants must complete the programs (six months long) within a two-year period. Prospective candidates should check the TCG website for updates on application availability.
This award follows the same parameters as the Career Development Program for Directors. Qualifying programs include design workshop, travel and cross-disciplinary research, new work development under a mentor, company rehearsal/planning observation and residencies (long-term assistantships). The award is also $25,000 over six installments and supplemental life needs and travel pay is available.
This grant seeks to nurture an actors' continued involvement in professional life theatre, enrich his relationship with a nonprofit theatre and challenge his craft. This fellowship has two categories: one for actors with "extraordinary potential" who are in their early to mid careers and one for "Distinguished Achievement" actors who have considerable professional experience. The award for the former category is $15,000 with $10,000 additional available for student debt relief and $25,000 for the latter. The host theatre also receives $7,500 for expenses incurred during the actors' residency.

This program has three main objectives and areas of funding, and two of them are awarded to individuals or students. The Future Leaders Program awards $80,000 over an 18-month period to a theatre hosting a mentee, who also has access to $10,000 for student-debt relief. Applicants come from all areas of theatre. The Future Collaborations leg of this program awards $6,000 to a theatre or theatrical professional collaborating internationally on a new work. Funds can go towards travel or hosting.
