African Graduate Scholarships

Many schools offer funding to help international students ease high tuition costs. These students often find themselves struggling to fund their graduate education due to federal restrictions on financial aid. African students are attending American universities in record numbers, which means their need for financial assistance is growing. Scholarship opportunities are available to African students who are pursuing their graduate school education in the United States.
  1. Africa-America Institute Scholarship

    • The International Fellowship Program created by the Africa-America Institute and the Ford Foundation offers training at the graduate level for up to three years of graduate study. The scholarship is awarded to South African students of exceptional ability who can demonstrate both need and aptitude. Students are expected to demonstrate principles of social justice and community building upon completion of graduate careers in both their own countries and the world at large.
